Studio D’Artisan 8169 ‘Kurozome’ Kamon T-Shirt - Kyoto Black / Hand Dyed

This understated Studio D’Artisan tee channels over 1,000 years of Japanese dyeing tradition. Made from U.S.-grown cotton, it’s garment-dyed using the historic Kurozome technique from Kyoto, where natural black dye is layered over a red or indigo base to achieve a uniquely deep, lasting black.

Each piece is individually hand-dyed by Kyoto Montsuki, a dye house with over a century of experience. The bold off-white circle is discharge printed to resemble a traditional Japanese crest, adding symbolic depth to the minimalist design.
